Johannesburg, South Africa - Molenaar Industrial Technologies (MIT) will bring together four international technology agencies at Propak Cape 2026, taking place from 27 to 29 October at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Visitors to the exhibition can explore direct-to-package printing, contaminant detection, pack-integrity inspection and fume extraction.

Digital printing, inspection and extraction are often specified separately, yet their performance is closely connected. Clear, production-ready information still needs a sound pack; a compliant product still needs dependable foreign-body detection; and a productive laser application needs effective fume extraction. MIT can give manufacturers a local point of contact for application guidance and support across these linked requirements.

Direct-to-package printing

GSI adds digital direct-to-package printing. NoLabel supports high-contrast black or white barcodes, logos and variable information, while Colorize CMYK and CMYK+W enable inline full-colour output, including on darker kraft materials. For suitable applications, this can reduce reliance on pre-printed packaging, make shorter runs more practical and move artwork or SKU changes closer to production.

Inspection that protects products and packs

Sesotec provides foreign-body detection, material analysis and sorting technologies. Its food-industry portfolio includes GLS and INTUITY tunnel metal detectors, RAPID metal separators, LIQUISCAN systems for liquid and paste products, and RAYCON X-ray inspection. These technologies support contaminant detection and quality assurance at appropriate control points.

Teledyne TapTone extends quality control to the pack itself. Its portfolio includes acoustic, proximity and twin-proximity leak sensors, as well as Fill_xr and Fill_ir fill-level technologies. Producers can match the method to the container, closure and product to detect leaks, pressure-related issues and incorrect fill levels, with options for vision inspection and reject handling.

Cleaner air around coding and marking

Purex completes the portfolio with local exhaust ventilation and fume extraction for industrial environments, including laser coding and marking. Systems such as the iFume 400i Red capture process fumes at source and use monitored filtration to support equipment, product quality and the working environment.

Together, the four agencies support one production objective: getting the right product, in the right pack, carrying the right information, through the line with confidence. MIT invites visitors to Stand C10 to discuss where a more connected approach could improve performance.
