FONTANA’s innovation and client focus is clearly illustrated in the company’s development. Established in 1972 by Achille Fontana, an Italian immigrant, Fontana Manufacturers originally manufactured household furniture, until a client inquiry initiated a change to the manufacturing of steel locking rings for the steel drum industry. Involvement in the drum industry led to the manufacture of other steel components. In 1989, Achille’s son, Raoul Fontana, took over the business. He later introduced the manufacture of plastic components. Today, as a leading supplier to the mineral water and beverage industry, Fontana produces a wide range of plastic components and closures to suit all customer requirements. A variety of quality metal components, designed for metal containers and drums, is still being produced.
