Zibo Containers was founded in 1997 by current Managing Director, André Smit and his wife, Deléria. The company had its very humble beginnings in a small space resembling a garage, with an initial compliment of only 23 staff. Since then we have developed and grown significantly, necessitating multiple relocations and expansions which ultimately led us to our current facilities. The values instilled by André and Deléria have become ingrained in our organization and staff, who have continued to play a pivotal role in our 29-year journey. At Zibo, we take great pride in our unique and comprehensive understanding of the PET production and recycling process. Our EFSA-approved recycling process support our status as the sole converter in South Africa that recycles both PET thermoforms and bottles.
